Staying cool may still be as simple as what you wear, but to really be on the cutting edge, you should make purchasing choices that make a strong statement about climate change. Your wardrobe may change faster than anything else you own, but does it change the world? It can. The Apparel/Accessories sector has seen notable leadership on climate issues from some companies, and nothing on climate from others. The sector has faced scrutiny on developing-world labor issues for years; the time has come for the whole sector to realize it has an impact on climate change, as well.
Climate Counts uses CDP’s highly regarded climate performance score as our primary indicator of company performance on climate change. The scoring ranges from “A” (best) to “E” (worst) and assesses the level of action taken on climate change evidenced by the company's CDP response. The methodology to score company performance has been developed by CDP with input from our scoring partners, responding companies, investors, NGOs and other partners.
